In "Ghost Rider", Nicolas Cage plays a Johnny Blaze, a stuntman who sold his soul to a demon in order to save his dad's life. Several years later the demon returns to Johnny with a proposition. Blaze's soul will be released if he becomes the devil's legendary bounty-hunter called the "Ghost Rider" and gets rid of the demon's evil son, Blackheart. Blaze accepts the proposition and becomes the Ghost Rider. There are several similarities between Jane Eyre and "Ghost Rider". One such similarity is the fact that Johnny Blaze is often called a bird, due to how far he can do jumps on his bike, and in Jane's story there is a lot of bird imagery, such as being small and delicate like a bird, or free like a bird. Overall, these stories do not have a lot in common, but the theme of Fire versus Ice is present in both stories. In "Ghost Rider" it is a literal fire versus ice, due to Johnny Blaze being a fiery demon and Blackheart being cold. In Jane Eyre, the fire is Jane's passion and the ice symbolize the forces trying to extinguish it.
